In-house hot towel training can take from three to five weeks before the Barber can be accredited to stand on the store floor and provide hot towel services to all customers. We monitor week by week the Barber’s progress, checking each and every required stage is completed to satisfaction, before finally approving him or her as a Valet Shaving technician.

In order to complete the above hot towel shaving training programme we naturally require live models upon which the barber can hone the art of shaving. Remember that the barber will already be proficient in the use of an open razor. The purpose of this particular stage of the training programme is to refine the Barber’s existing skills and mould them so that they deliver a ‘Valet brand’ wet shave, rather than in a standard fashion that he or she has been taught previously. So there should be no apprehension with the Barber and their use of an open blade razor as this is all about the learning, practice and refinement of methods, processes and formulas that need to be accomplished the Valet way!
