South London’s Favourite Business 2012 & Traditional male grooming salon, The Valet opened their flagship store in Addiscombe, near Croydon, South London, in the Summer of 2009.

Nevertheless, they have already captured the attention of men in the South East in their masses, including some notable faces to boot. Hot Towel shaves & facials are seeing a great demand. The definition for a ‘valet’ is ‘his master’s personal servant’ and we endeavour to reflect the underlying meaning of our establishment’s name in the male grooming services that are on offer at this fantastic, men-only establishment.

Our approach is very simple. The Valet provides a service to the everyday man whereby he can escape, relax and enjoy some proper male grooming services but without a West End price tag. Here at The Valet, we wanted to restore some good old traditional values and quality service back to the male community.

A classic male grooming service

The Barber at the Valet has provided an upscale traditional Barbers shop with a classical theme, but at the same time a contemporary twist, providing old school services to the modern man. The Valet offers traditional & classic styling, classic hot towel facial treatments along with some of the finest male grooming products available on the market. The Valet promises to regenerate male grooming in a traditional fashion, but with a modern day twist to classical men’s grooming. A timeless iconic fashion very much influenced by great film & style. The concept has proven very successful – with many new customers being recommended regularly, we have a client portfolio climbing by the week. We already enjoy a regularly returning client base, making us the leading men’s only traditional groomers in the South East.

We have worked hard to produce a smart, traditionally styled, climate controlled salon where you can keep up to date with the latest sport & news on our in store plasma screen, as well as personal LCD screens at each barber station. Browse daily broadsheets & men’s fashion magazines, whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of red or white wine, a cold beer or simply a Cappuccino, Americano, Lungo or a Café Classic.

A Hot towel shave Sir?

Why not sit back and relax and take a real hot towel shave. This includes the application of two steaming hot towels enriched in lemon cologne, two hot lathers of Italian formulated Proraso shaving creams, both including a pre-post undercoat cream, brushed on with a pure badger hair brush. The ritual is then finished with a cold towel, a post cream face massage, and a fine cologne splash. All our Barbers carry over 25 years experience and are qualified shaving technicians. The Valet are also proud stockists of some of the finest men’s toiletries and shaving equipment, normally only available from retailers in the West End of London. Our Mission

The owners mission is very simple. Here at the VALET, we stand for the provision of a quality service to the everyday man where they can escape, relax and enjoy proper male grooming services at an all affordable price. We know that some UK Barbers do still provide a full service, but, at this level, they are impossible to find in the suburbs and are therefore only be found in the West End of London, where premium prices are to be expected.

The owners say: “Apart from wanting to restore some good old traditional values back to the community, we also wanted to create an establishment with an environment where men can come and feel special, get pampered, enjoy quality surroundings, as well as feeling totally relaxed and comfortable at the same time.” Unfortunately, in this day and era, it is increasingly hard to find Barbers that concentrate on services to the extent of male grooming. They tend to concentrate on turnover and consequently that personal touch has disappeared from our suburban high street Barbers shops.

Yet here at the VALET, we strive to guarantee that attention to fine detail is delivered for every customer. Our mission is simple and that is “to provide quality services and surroundings at prices that suit the everyday man”.
